For my Son on his 2nd Birthday

This day 2 years back you came in to my life
I was already then a daughter and a wife
You challenged me with a new role
And set for me a new goal.

I was inexperienced in this task
... But you always cooperated even before I could ask
You wiped away all stress and tension
Gave a new dimension to my life’s vision.

We sailed through these 2 years
Celebrating every minute and overcoming all fears
Laughing, sharing, having fun
And now it’s time to say, "Happy 2nd Birthday to my little son!"
